What are Cappuccino Coaching Sessions? • A way of learning what coaching is • A starting point for taking action and making some small changes in your life • Safe environment – get involved as little or as much as you choose • In business? A way of meeting like minded people, bring your business cards & share • Not in business? Just mingle, make new friends

  5. What is forgiveness? • Group brainstorm or individual work • Stop feeling angry or resentful towards (someone) for an offence, flaw, or mistake • No longer feel angry about or wish to punish (an offence, flaw, or mistake):

  6. Why should we practice it? • Reminder of definition • to grant pardon to (a person) • to cease to feel resentment against • Way easier said than done?? • It’s for YOU, not for them. Holding onto bitterness, anger & resentment isn’t healthy for YOU

What Impact Is It Having On You?(WkBk) • Individual work (5 mins) • What resentment are you holding onto about a situation and/or person? • What impact is holding onto this resentment having on you? i.e. Anger, anxiousness? • How do they feel about this? • Acknowledging feelings are important • Be kind to you

The 5 Best Things About Forgiveness • Forgiveness is freeing • Forgiveness is good for your health • Forgiveness allows you to be present in the moment • Forgiveness creates an inner peace and healthier relationships all round • Forgiveness gives you back control • How would life be different if you felt more free, healthier, present in the moment, with an inner peace and • feeling in control?

What Could A 1° Shift Be? • Individual work (2-3 mins) • Spend 2-3 minutes thinking about someone that you’d like to consider forgiving. • Group work (5-15 mins) • What might some other 1° shifts be in working towards forgiving someone? • Individual work (2-3 mins) • What difference could that shift make to you / • your life / others around you?

  10. You Might Get Stuck • Forgiveness needs to be genuine • Need time to feel the emotions and deal with what comes up – needs that haven’t been met, hurtful words etc. • Practical self-care • Journalling (WkBk)

Some Forgiveness Work Questions • What would freedom mean to you? • What is it costing you to hold onto this resentment? • How is this anger/resentment serving you? • How do you want to feel instead? • How would life be different if you let go of that emotion? (anger/guilt/resentment) • Thinking about this situation what can you learn about yourself? • What needs to happen for you to regain control in this situation? • Where are you giving away your power in this?
