Mission • Cancer news & information • Every day the waiting rooms and corridors of Sunnybrook's Odette Cancer Centre spill over with patients, their families, doctors and researchers. • There simply isn't enough room to accommodate all of our patients and the vital care they rely on: • the surgeries and drug treatments, • the patient and family support, • the groundbreaking clinical trials

  3. We need to treat our patients and everyone on our waiting lists faster and better. • To do so, we need more space to conduct our life-saving work.

  10. Statistics What is cancer? Cancer is a disease that starts in our cells. Our bodies are made up of millions of cells, grouped together to form tissues and organs such as muscles and bones, the lungs and the liver. Genes inside each cell order it to grow, work, reproduce and die. Normally, our cells obey these orders and we remain healthy.
