  2. This information is being provided for the purpose of the fiscal year (FY) 2012 Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy grantees meeting. Assessment tools, curriculum, and other information and materials mentioned or shown at this meeting by presenters or grantees are provided as resources and examples for the viewer’s convenience. In addition, the instructional practices and assessments discussed or shown in these presentations are not intended to mandate, direct, or control a State's, local educational agency's, or school's specific instructional content, academic achievement system and assessments, curriculum, or program of instruction.   4. World Café World Café is an innovative approach to host conversations about questions that matter. As participants move between groups, they • discover new insights, • cross-pollinate ideas, • generate questions, and • increase their capacity for effective action in pursuit of common aims.

Guidelines “Intelligence emerges as a system connects to itself in new and diverse ways.” --Meg Wheatley • Use markers and pens to capture key thoughts and “a-ha’s.” • Reveal the table tent only when instructed. • Each round is approximately 10 minutes. • Select a “host” to stay behind and summarize the previous round to the new group.
