Ringtails

Ringtails thrive in rocky habitats that include water sources. These unique mammals have excellent vision, allowing them to detect predators effectively. Interestingly, ringtails became the official mammal of Arizona in August 1986. Weighing between 1-2 pounds and measuring approximately 24 inches long (including their tail), these creatures are not related to cats despite some similarities. Discover more about their environmental needs and adaptations that help them survive in the wild.
