INTRODUCTION STARLIGHT MARITIME (SLMT) is an Iraqi registered company and is the biggest service provider of LAND, SEA, AIR LOGISTICS & Ship Agency services in all Iraqi ports.Our market base is mainly IRAQ with branches in IRAQ (Baghdad, Erbil, Sulaimaniyah, Umm Qasser, Zakho, Safwan, Dohouk and Basrah), Mersin Turkey, Amman Jordan, United Arab Emirates (Sharjah and Dubai), China (Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Yiwu) and Houston, Texas USA. We serve to a wide range of satisfied clients from major oilfield companies and freight forwarders. With a backing of 7 solid years of service in IRAQI market and offices in all the major cities, airport and entry points in IRAQ has earned us a major reputation within the freight forwarding, airline and oil and gas community. In compliance with clients requirements we organize transportation of cargo on the highest standards including best services on its handling, customs clearing, door delivery and daily personal updates to the clients with related information on the flow of the shipments.

  2. OUR HISTORY • 2003- Starlight Maritime (an IRAQI registered Company) was established in Baghdad City. On the same year we open a branch in Erbil, Sulaimaniyah, Basrah, Umm Qasser, Zakho, Safwan Amman Jordan and London UK. • 2004- A hub in Dubai and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates was established to serve as a hub for all shipments coming worldwide to IRAQ and is now serving as Starlight Maritime Head Office. On the same year we opened an office in Mersin to cover the needs of all transshipments coming by SEA and to be transported to IRAQ by LAND. • 2007- A branch in China (Guangzhou and Shanghai) was established. • 2008- We open a branch in Houston, Texas to support the major oilfield operators. Expand the branches in China by opening an office in Beijing. Another branch in IRAQ was established in Dohouk on the same year. • 2010 - Established an office in Yiwu China and on the first stage of establishing the new branches in Germany and Canada.

SHIP AGENCY SERVICES SLMT provides port agency services across all the ports of IRAQ for Ship Owners and Cargo Charterers Of all types of vessel supply boats and inshore vessels, navy ships, bulkers and tankers, and for all types of commodity ranging from grains , cement and containers in to Umm Qasr , to fuel imports at Khor Al Zubayr and crude oil exports at the Offshore terminals. SLMT is as familiar with the procedures and requirements for Government and NGO clients in Iraq as with commercial cargo and customers. SLMT long standing presence at IRAQ ports , we enjoy excellent relations with the loading terminal & local authorities that enables us to smooth handle berthing, loading & sailing of the vessel. As a local agent we offer security and peace of mind to our customers with business in Iraq .We can demonstrate financial robustness and integrity we work to well defined QMS &HSSE procedures. PORT OF UMM QASR GENERAL INFORMATION The Port of UMM QASR is located in SE Iraq and to the NE of the city of the same name (population 30,000+).Situated in the confluence of KHOR ZUBAIR And KHOR ABDDULLAH rivers, it lies on the west bank of the KHOR AL ZUBAYR river; a well protected natural in let tidal harbour. The Kuwaiti border is adjacent to the facility (approx 1km south). The port has road links NW to BASRAH and S across the Kuwait border, plus a main line rail link NW to BASRAH. The port perimeter is fenced and/or walled, with multiple entry control points and guard towers. (a) Lat 300 02' N Long 470 57' E. (b) Grid (GR) QU 840271. Pilot Station : The present pilot station is between buoy no. 3 and 5. Coordinates. Lat 29 44 00 N Long 48 40 00 E Anchorage Position : Vessels calling Umm Qasr and Khor Al Zubayr are waiting on the vicinity closer b/w Buoy No. 2 and buoy no. 3. Once the agent confirms the sea pilot boarding time then can proceed to the inner channel at the pilot station. Coordinates: Lat 29 42 12 N / Long 48 41 00 E

  9. PORT OF UMM QASR PORT RESTRICTIONS & LIMITATIONS 1. New Port (Berth No. 11) – 9 M (In High Water) 2. New Port (Berth No. 12-16) – 10.5 M (In High Water) 3. New Port (Berth No.( 17-) – 9.5 M (In High Water) 4. New Port (Berth No 18-19) 10.5 M (in High Water ) 5. Grain Silo (Berth No. 10) - 11.5 meters (in High Water) 6. Old Port (Berth No. 1-2-3) – 11.0 M (In High Water) 7. Old Port (Berth No. 4-7) – 9.5 M (in High Water Max Draft in the Channel. The maximum arrival draft at the channel should be 12.5 meters (in high water). Limiting Depths of Approach Channels, Basins and Berths. 1. Previous maximum allowed arrival draft was 11.0m. At the Old Port draft along the berths (2 to 8a) was 10.5m and New Port (12 to 22) varied from 9.0 -11.0m. 2. Grain Silo Berth (10) draft was 11.0m. Due to the reduction in draft levels , the maximum size of vessels able to berth had been reduced from 50,000 to 55,000 metric tons. 3. Vessels bound for or departing from Iraqi ports and offshore oil terminals must pass within a five nautical mile radius of (29-35n/048-53e).
