Communications 2008-2009

In the 2008-2009 communications review, we focused on understanding JBer needs through a survey and launched the small "Canuck" newsletter every two months. Despite limited chapter participation, we successfully met deadlines and provided content in both French and English. We issued three editions in 2009 and improved international communication via ECC and ICC initiatives. However, we recognize the need for better engagement with chapters, streamlined document accessibility, and separate language dispatches to enhance reach. We welcome your questions and suggestions.

  1. Communications 2008-2009

  2. Things to be Remembered! • Started with a survey of what JBers wanted from us = small Canuck every 2 months • Met deadlines, despite having very few chapters participate • All in French and English • 3 Canuck Editions in March, May and September/October - on the website! • ECC = more international info than ever before • ICC = postcards to increase national communication • Great communication between ICC and ECC

  3. Things to be Changed! • Communication between ICC/ECC with the JBers: It was difficult to get in touch with chapters for articles for the Canucks. Perhaps find a new way of communicating with the chapters. Some chapters are much better at this than others. ECC/ICC should have access to the website so documents can be uploaded more easily. • Have the Canuck in French and English but send them in separate documents so that more email browsers can open and access them.

  4. Questions? Comments? Concerns? Suggestions? Caitlyn and Julia, commsquad 09
