Gorillas. By Cailin Henry. What it looks like. It has black , silver or gray fur. Gorillas are 5 to 6 feet tall but babies are 3 to 4 feet tall. The older gorillas weigh about 450 lb and babies are at least 50 or 40 lb . Lifespan. Gorillas can live up to 40 years old.

  2. What it looks like It has black, silver or gray fur. Gorillas are 5 to 6 feet tall but babies are 3 to 4 feet tall. The older gorillas weigh about 450 lb and babies are at least 50 or 40 lb .

  3. Lifespan Gorillas can live up to 40 years old. Many gorillas are endangered because people are cutting down trees and hunting gorillas.

  4. Habitat Gorillas live in the jungle part of North Africa or South Africa and also central Africa.

  5. Climate Gorillas live in rainforest. In the rainforest it is wet, rainy and a bit misty.

  6. Landforms There are two different places gorillas live. One kind of gorilla is called a mountain gorilla because they live in the mountains. Another kind is called lowland gorillas because they live on lowland.

  7. Food Gorillas eat leaves, tree bark, fruit, vines or wild celery.

  8. Prey or predator Humans are their predator, but they don’t prey on animals. People are hunting them down and gorillas are getting extinct.

  9. 3 Cool Facts • Gorillas use different sounds and expressions on their face to let others know what they are thinking or feeling. • Gorillas are primates just like people are. All primates have thumbs and 4 fingers. • A gorilla’s scientific name is Anthropoid, and it means man like.
