IEEE - EED – Egyptian Engineering Day • Started in 2002 • Two day exhibition for graduation projects for Engineering/CS students. • Organized by IEEE/IEEE Gold. • Started with 3 Universities and have now 20 Universities in Egypt ivolved. • In emphasizes the idea of entrepreneurship and Innovation. • The exhibition is a chance to get exposure for students’ projects. • 2007 160 projects 3500 attendants.

  23. History In the 1st Made-In-Egypt (MIE) Competition that was held in the 2005-2006 academic year there was about 40 projects, 12 sponsors, 7 Engineering Fields over 9 universities. Since then the Competition becomes one of the main Industry University linkage' activity in Egypt. The IEEE GOLD Egypt started Made-In-Egypt (MIE) Competition with a plan to transfer the experience to all so that each country should have its local competition.
