  2. Shady Prevent overheating with breaks out of the sun into a shady retreat every 30 minutes or so.

  3. Sun Protection Don't forget the sunscreen and have your dog wear clothing. Dogs that are white, hairless, and with light-colored fur are most likely to suffer from sunburn.

  4. Hot Car Even with the windows cracked, the inside of a car can heat up to 120 degrees! Ouchies!

  5. Signs Of Heatstroke Keep your eyes peeled for excessive panting, weakness, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, dark red gums, incoordination, rapid heartbeat, and seizures.

  6. Coolers Hours Even with the windows cracked, the inside of a car can heat up to 120 degrees! Ouchies!

  7. Stay Hydrated Refill your dog's water bowl more often than usual on hot days. Add ice cubes to cool down your pup and prevent vomiting.
