Enrollment Forms for 2013-14 • We were able to gather useful data in FY13 • Number in each course/pathway • SAE/FFA data • Points to remember • Each teacher completes and submits form (in-school & YF) • Last name comma first name • Submit Oct. 15, save copy and update and resubmit March 14 to include 2nd semester data. • Middle School: Submit for each grading period • Found on region portal: www.southregionaged.org or www.gaaged.org

  13. Program Updates • Credentialing • Ga. Ag Ed will offer a industry endorsed credential certificate based on meeting the minimum cut-score on FFA CDEs. • DOE is only recognizing the End of Pathway Assessments for technical skill attainment, therefore, this credential does not meet that requirement.

Program Updates • Curriculum Update • Ag Ed Cluster now consists of 34 Pathways • Basic Ag Science Curriculum • New standards are now approved and posted • Can be taught in 8th grade for high school credit • Elementary Level Ag Awareness Lessons • Posted on website • Can be used to help earn CCRPI credits • All other Ag Courses being revised and new standards to be approved later this year

  23. GYFA Membership • State 2012 Membership: 4,576 • 90% of chapters had membership increase! • Continue to promote Junior Membership and Spousal discount.

FFA Update – Fall 2013 • FFA Membership • Rosters open for 2013-14 use on September 1 • Rosters are accessed through the AgCareer Network • AgCN accounts (usernames and logins) available from Region Directors if you don’t have them already • New teacher – your account has been created. • Teacher who moved – your account has been transferred • Dues for 2013-14 are $11 ($4 state & $7 national) • Affiliation option is available (contact the state FFA office by September 1, to Affiliate) • Rosters and dues/Affiliation fees are due by October 15 • If you want FFA membership cards for your students, contact the state FFA Office

FFA Update – Fall 2013 • 100% membership recognition • Designed to recognize teachers & programs who have 100% of the students in their AgEd classes on the FFA roster. • Individual teacher Enrollment Data forms will be used to determine 100% membership. In multi-teacher programs, for the program to be considered 100%, each teacher must have 100% of the students in their classes on the FFA roster.

FFA Update – Fall 2013 • National Convention • Louisville, Kentucky • Online registration is open through www.ffa.org on the Ag Career Network • Registration Costs • $45 per person if you’re in the FFA housing block • $65 per person if you’re outside the FFA housing block • $70 per person on-site registration regardless of rooms • Contact the FFA Office about rooms in the Georgia state rooming block at the downtown Marriott • Space is limited, rooms are first come, first served!

FFA Update – Fall 2013 • Check all CDE and Award guidelines in the online Award Bulletin at www.georgiaffa.org • FFA Day at the Georgia National Fair – Oct 8 • Registration for all ID contests and booths is now an online process and must be submitted by Sept 18 • Registration for FFA Day program (Middle School and 9th grade only!) is due to Hope Carter by Sept 19

  47. EMC Demonstration • 1. The service entrance cable will be installed and connected to the main breaker in the 100 amp service entrance panel. • 3. Connections will be made to the circuit breaker and to the lamp holder. The lamp holder will not be mounted but terminal connections will be made. • 6. As part of this speech demonstration, students should place emphasis on the internal operation of three and four way switches and not limit themselves to how to wire the circuit. The wiring panel and switch charts are available to aid in explaining how the switches and the circuit operate.
