  2. Company Introduction • Priemyselný park Štúrovoa.s. (Industrial park Štúrovo) is the legal successor of Smurfit Kappa Štúrovoa.s. • The company was established in 1960 with a very wide production range including asphalt based roofing membranes, paper board, packaging paper, corrugated board based packaging material, thermal energy and electricity. • Previous owners soled all non-paper based business and later stopped all paper production activities. In 2011 the company´s sole activity was the energy distribution and site maintenance.

  3. In March 2012 the company BioEner Slovakia a.s. acquired all shares from the previous foreign owner and became the major shareholder of the company. The Company has been renamed to Priemyselný park Štúrovoa.s., its seat was moved back to Štúrovo and new vision was defined for the business. • Main goal of the company Priemyselný park Štúrovoa.s. is to ensure the operation of the industrial zone in form of organized industrial park.

  4. The whole industrial zone lays at more than 170 hectares. • Priemyselný park Štúrovoa.s. owns 77 ha of land and buildings for production purposes. Additional 64 ha of land is used within supporting activities (railway, ashfield, landfill etc.). • Other companies actively running business in the industrial zone owns additional 31 ha of land.

Currently Priemyselný park Štúrovoa.s. provides the following activities: • Purchase and distribution of electricity, natural gas, process and drinking water; • Site maintenance including operation of harbor, local railway and road facilities in favor of existing production units at the industrial zone; • Rental of offices, warehouses and other production areas; • Among the others main partners at industrial zone of Štúrovo are: • Icopal, a.s. – production of asphalt based insulation membranes; • Monarflex, s.r.o - production of polyethylene base membranes; • Smurfit Kappa ObalyŠtúrovo, a.s. – production of corrugated board and packaging (boxes); • HVM, s.r.o. – production of steel reinforcement materials; • BIS Slovensko, s.r.o. – production of equipment, spare parts, installation and erection work;

  6. Main priorities for Priemyselný park Štúrovoa.s. are: • Sale or rental of free areas and buildings for establishment of new production units; • Provide energy distribution and all related services in a stabile and reliable way; • Increase utilization of logistical installations; • Implement new production units in the field of energy production with focus on renewable energy sources;
