Imperatives!!!!!. ER VERBS. When forming the Tu form with ER verbs simply take everything off the end of the verb except the “ e ” Examples: Parler – Parle! (speak!) Lever – le’ve (lift!) Exceptions: Aller – va (go!). IR AND RE VERBS.

  2. ER VERBS • When forming the Tu form with ER verbs simply take everything off the end of the verb except the “e” • Examples: • Parler – Parle! (speak!) • Lever – le’ve (lift!) • Exceptions: • Aller – va (go!)

  3. IR AND RE VERBS • When forming the imperative of IR and RE verbs simply remove the conjugated endings and add “S” • Examples: • Finir – Finis (finish!) • Attendre – Attends (wait!) • Faire – Fais (to do!)

  4. Exceptions • Avoir – Aie (to have!) • Etre – Sois (to be!) • Savoir – Sache (konw!) • Vouloir – Veuille(want!)

  5. Vous Form • When forming the “vous” form of a command you simply take away the normal ending and add “ez”. • Examples: • Parler – Parlez • Lever – Levez • Aller - Allez

  6. The Negative! • If you want to put a command in the negative form you say “Ne _____ pas” • Examples: • Ne finis pas! – Don’t finish! • Ne le finis pas! – Don’t finish it! • Ne lisez pas! – Don’t read! • Ne le lisez pas! – Don’t read it!
