  1. FIBER ORIENTED MODULE UPGRADE PRESENTED TO EACOM TIMBER CORPORATION NAIRN CENTER MILL

PROJECT DESCRIPTION • The proposed quotation covers de sales and installation of the Fiber Oriented Module offered as an upgrade for the 990 Line; • VAB Solutions proposes to install a new vision chamber; • In order to save time on the installation phase, VAB Solutions proposes to swap Eacoms actual optimizer enclosure with a new one; • This new vision chamber will include: • 2 sets of new high resolution Cameras and Ellipse Lasers (2 for the Faces & 2 for the Edges); • 1 complete industrial server computer for the vision.

  3. PROJECT DESCRIPTION • The Fiber Oriented Module will allow to detect and grade accurately all knots, grain distortion and wood compression. • This proposal is the result of multiple tests done at VAB Solutions site with a canadian business partner and a Southeastern USA partner for the Southern Yellow Pine;

  4. NEW EQUIPMENT PROPOSED MATERIALS • FIBER ORIENTED MODULE • New Vision chamber in Steel plate construction; • (4) High Resolution cameras on each faces; • (4) New Ellipse lasers on each faces; • (1) Complete industrial server computer, with cards, keyboard and mouse for vision system; • Software.

  5. MANPOWER OFFERED NO COST • Complete system assembly ; • Pre-installation visit and installation engineering; • Integration to the actual Optimizer; • Mechanical installation and supervision; • Parameters setup and training; • System start up; • Free technical support for one year.

  6. PROPOSED INSTALLATION & DELIVERY • Installation of the Fiber Oriented Module can be done on a one day shutdown followed by a weekend. • The new module will be prepared in VAB Solutions facility with a new optimizer enclosure in order to save time during the onsite installation. VAB Solutions proposes to do a swap with Eacoms actual optimizer enclosure and recover all items (cables, vision, lasers, wire etc...). • Installation date can be done on the 1rst week of December2014.
