Join Kannunvalajat: Promoting Social Sciences and Finnish Culture

Kannunvalajat is the umbrella association for Social Sciences students in Finland, representing 14 subject associations. Our mission includes advocating for the rights of social science students within student unions and universities. We organize a variety of cultural events, excursions, and traditional Finnish academic activities such as Fuksisuunnistus and Vappu. Join us to enrich your understanding of Finnish culture while meeting fellow students. Stay updated on our events through our website and social media!

What do Kannunvalajat do? • Representing social scientists’ rights in the Student Union and the University • Organizing excursions, parties, cultural events etc.! • A great way to get to know Finnish culture better! • Coming up in September: • Fuksisuunnistus • Fuksisitsit In addition kannu organizes tons of traditional finnish academic activities: vuosijuhlat, laskiainen, vappu, all kind of sitsit, etc

  7. How do I join? • Subscribe to kannu-news by sending ”subscribe kannu-news” to majordomo@helsinki.fi (no subject!) and wait for instructions. • Come to meetings! You will be informed of meetings on the mailing list. • Join our activities! They will also be advertised on kannu-news mailing list.
