Established by the Dubai Government in 2006, the Emirates Institution for Advanced Science and Technology (EIAST) is part of a strategic initiative to inspire scientific innovation, technological advancement and to advance sustainable development in Dubai and the UAE. EIAST has made up of a core team of UAE scientists and experts who are working to position the nation as a global leader in the field of science and technology through the development of new expertise and Intellectual Property. In 2009, EIAST launched Dubai government’s first fully owned satellite DubaiSat-1. Followed by a successful launch of DubaiSat-2 in 2013. And now EIAST is working on its state-of-the-art project KhalifaSat, completely in the hands of its promising UAE Nationals engineers. For more information, visit www.eiast.ae
