  1. What is MS excel? And its parts Microsoft is a commercial spreadsheet application created by Microsoft for Windows and Mac OS. It is used to make basic calculations, graphic tools, pivot tables, and macros. This software is a part of Microsoft Office, which has other applications besides Excel. To run MS Excel you have to download Office setup and complete MS Office activation process then you can easily use all the applications of MS office. Parts of MS excel 1. Title bar It is a dark-colored bar at the top of the Excel window with an Excel symbol on the left side and Control button (Minimize, Maximize, Close) on the right side.

Menu bar • There are many menus for using various commands like - File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Tools, Data, Window, and Help, etc. Using these we can perform all the functions of Excel. 3. Standard Toolbar • The standard toolbar is located just below the menu bar, it contains many buttons which are mostly used as shortcuts so that tasks can be done at a faster speed and save time. 4. Formatting Toolbar • Formatting toolbar is present just below the standard toolbar, it contains buttons for formatting the table and its contents, such as - Font, Font Size, Font Style, Bold, Italic, Underline, etc.

  3. 6. Worksheet • This is the part where the user types the data. This sheet is divided into rows and columns. Each Excel file or workbook can have 16 worksheets. Each cell of a worksheet can store 255 characters in a line around each cell. Are called grid lines. 7. Status Bar • This time, according to the work being done on the worksheet, the message appears like ready as soon as entering in the cell, Enter is typed while typing new data in the cell and Edit is shown while making changes in the old entry. The status of On / Off is displayed. 8. Vertical Scroll bar • This bar is present on the right side of the worksheet, with the help of this, the worksheet can be moved up and down.

  4. 9. Horizontal Scroll Bar • This is a bar that is immediately above the status bar, with the help of this, the worksheet can be moved to the right or left.
