The „Snail“ The snail lifts up the water (wich comes from the canalisation) two metres, so it can run to the different cleaning-stations. In Braunschweig, there are three snails next to eachother.
The „Rake“ There are four of these machines. And what it does, is it takes out big dirt. It mainly consists of a strainer and a pusher, wich pulls the dirt from the strainer.
The „Sand-Trap“ The sand sinks to the ground.
The „Primary Clarifier“ The solid particles, wich are heavy enough, sink to the ground. There is a rake. This rake pushes these particles into a gab. Wood and other swimming objects are fished away.
The „Aeration Tank“ In the aneration tank bacterias eat small pices of the dirt. That bacterias can breath, air is pumped into the brown water.
The „Clarifier“ The bacteria sinks to the ground and is carried away. What leaves, is clear water!
