  4. Climate Description150-200 words The Acipific Island is located 0 degrees (equator), 120 degrees west, which is near the Galapagos islands and ______. On Acipfic’s coastline, there is a constant thin fog, and inland it’s generally sunny. There are two main seasons: a rainy season (January to May) and a dry season (June to December). Acipific has near tropical and arid climates. It also has mountain filled places, which means that that should be the climate there. This Taiwan sized island has a large lake in the middle, which connects four rivers, three dropping into the ocean, and one leading onto a tall mountain above a large vast mountain range. The mountain range has a rainforest surrounding and blending into it, and a volcano just south east of it all. On the top of the tallest mountain, there is a little snow, which is the only area on the island that has snow and is cold. The precipitation each month can go from 0 to 7 inches, with the most often 3 inches every month for the first five months (January to May), and 0-2 inches for June to December. Temperature’s average is of about 24.5℃monthly, which means that Acipific’s temperature is tropical except on the top of the mountains.

  6. Climate Concerns • Global warming concerns in this region of the world? The temperature is slowly rising hotter and hotter around Acipific, which is causing the snow on the top of the tall mountain to start melting. There is information that of six glaciers in the Venezuelan Andes in 1972, only 2 remain, and scientists predict that these will be gone within the next 10 years, which. Also, ice caps in South tropical America are guessed to be completely melted in 15 years, and it is reported that the Coral Reefs near the Galapagos islands are bleaching hot spots. The bleaching could be some serious damage to the coral reefs near Acipific, and could eventually kill the coral, and result for the fish living in them to have to find a new home or something. http://www.climatehotmap.org/samerica.html
