  2. “Define a typical elderly person in Helsinki!”It´s easy to answer: we have none! All are different: • Education, socio-economical status, health, family, interests • Many belong to the first generation living in a city – and some of them even in Finland, or in Europe…

  4. “ICT age for the seniors and socially excluded persons ” Satka-project 2008-2013 briefly/ new things in 2012 Financed by of Innovation Fund of the Helsinki City! • Two/three full-time and several voluntary advisors giving personal tutoring in the service centresand helping clients to apply for ICT courses A new recruiting course 18.9.-17.10.2012 • Some 40 computers for clients in the service centers2011. Computers for the residents, voluntarians, visitors and staff in the services houses. • New computers have the City library multilingual user interface with Skype • 2 2200/~ 2500 tutorial sessions • Tutoring also in English, Swedish, Russian, Bengal etc.

  5. The ideology of Satka ”The four golden rules”: • Visibility • Continuity • Encouragement • Customer oriented approach The one and only prohibition for the tutors: ”Don´t touch the mouse yourself” As one city librarian said it: “We make our contribution towards equality in ICT society.!
