  3. Reflect Your Own Experience Tip 1 • Carefully Listen and Be Self Aware • Just Your Opinion – Reframe Value Judgment “It was good …” “I enjoyed …because…” • Speak Only For Yourself Not The Audience

  4. Connect Feedback to Outcomes Tip 2 • For any particular behavior underlined give the outcomes/impact on you • Any alternatives and choices should also be connected to benefits/impact • Use Open-ended questions to let the Speaker in control of what to do next • Test the usefulness of your feedback by using the question: “So what?”

  5. Focus on Priorities Tip 3 • Focus On 2 Or 3 Aspects Most Useful To The Speaker • Foundation – Platform To Build On.. • What’s Next - Focus Is On The Next Steps To Take …

  6. Empower The Speaker Tip 4 • Reaffirm the ownership for positive aspects – by using “You” • For Growth opportunities & Alternatives – use “I” and/or “The Speech” • Feedback should create the possibility for further questions and increased self-awareness. The Speaker should have the freedom to formulate a plan that best fits her/his goals, ability and circumstances.
