This study explores the hand hygiene behaviors of caregivers in a pediatric oncology unit in a low-middle-income country. Utilizing a focus group approach, we identified key factors influencing hygiene practices among caregivers and healthcare providers. Our findings highlight the importance of cultural beliefs, education, and resource availability in shaping effective hand hygiene behaviors. This research aims to inform the development of targeted interventions that can improve hygiene practices, ultimately enhancing patient safety and outcomes in vulnerable pediatric populations.
