Vacation & Sick Leave Hour Accruals Hours should be in balance between Time & Labor and Manage Leave Accrual There are exceptions that will cause a difference: • Time off recorded in Time and Labor for a future date • These hours have been subtracted from the available balance in Time and Labor • Hours will not be subtracted in Manage Leave Accrual until the time is taken, approved and payroll is processed • Hours not approved • These hours have been subtracted from the available balance in Time and Labor • Hours will not be subtracted in Manage Leave Accrual until the time is approved and payroll is processed

Benefits Open Enrollment 2008 Special sessions will be planned later in July for • VP and HR liaisons, and Academic Financial Administrators • BOMs At that time OHR will share the plan changes effective October 1 and ask your assistance in ensuring a smooth and successful enrollment process
Sabbatical Leaves When an employee takes a Sabbatical: • Please do not reduce the salary • Complete the Leave of Absence – Business Reasons Form • For a one semester leave, provide only the base salary • For a two semester leave, provide the base AND adjusted salary • The adjusted salary will be entered by Benefits Life insurance and short term disability coverage amounts are effected when a salary is changed
Faculty Renewals Online • Allows departments to complete Faculty Renewals online – automated • Manual input is minimal • Only for returning faculty, academic professionals on ACD pay group and graduates (on SWB status - Short Work Break) • Excludes Staff and Hourly Student Workers • Departments have the ability to approve, change or update appointment renewals/terms of the appointment period (Fall or Fall/Spring), including start dates, end dates and salary http://www.asu.edu/hr/ • 2 other ways to renew faculty/APs • Online HPR, using TAM (anyone on ACD/GRD paygroup, NOT on SWB) • GRDs that are currently active (use MSS Ad Hoc Salary Change). • What’s NOT changing: Online HPR (using TAM) for new hires
