Read2Me!: Text-to-Speech Tool for Everyone

Read2Me! is a stand-alone text-to-speech tool with a converter to save speech as MP3 files and a potential Firefox plug-in. Designed for individuals with reading disabilities and users seeking easy access to text-to-speech functions. It uses MS SAPI and FreeTTS engines to convert text to natural-sounding speech. The tool includes a Java GUI, SWT text, and MP3 Lame converter. Plans for future integration include MS SAPI, navigation improvements, and additional features for user convenience. Collecting user data is also on the roadmap.
