General Features 3 • 5 priority levels are provided: • Emergency: highest priority • 4 priority levels (1 - 4) • Remote-Controlled Power-ON • the VM is always in stand-by mode, to be switched on by external equipment (e.g. central system in emergency case) • Emergency Power (24V DC) Inlet • Cascading 9 VM-2000 • 9 VM-2000 can be combined to obtain up to45 zones and more output power

Inputs 1-3 (2) Control Settings • Selectable priority: • When using control inputs: priority level 1 or 2 can be selected • When not using control inputs: priority level 3 is provided • Channels of the same priority level, can be set either to Last-in-first-out (LIFO) or first-in-first-out (FIFO) • Assignment to Zones • - in priority level 1 or 2, the inputs can be assigned to certain zones • - in priority level 3, the inputs will be routed to the zones selected by the front panel’s zone switches • Mixing • In priority level 2, mixing can be selected • In priority level 3, mixing is provided • Pre-Announcement Chime • Priority level 1 and 2 provide automatic pre-chime • On input 3, the pre-chime can be switched off PCB

Combination of 9 VM‘s Nine VM-2000s can be combined • to increase the output power • to increase the number of zones up to 45 • one unit will be master, the others all slaves • the voice announcement module needs to be installed only in the master unit • the remote microphone(s) will be connected to the master unit only • Full access to each desired zone of the slave units through the master unit

Priorities • Absolute Priority • 5 priority levels are provided: • Emergency: highest priority • 4 priority levels (1 - 4) • Relative Priority • when inputs of the same priority level (1 or 2) are activated at the same time, valid for all inputs with control • last-in-first-out (LIFO) and first-in-first-out (FIFO) • unit no. Priority only for RM-200M and messages 1 - 5 • Mixing • in priority level 2: “priority 2 mixing” is set • in priority level 3

Emergency • The VM-2000 is a package amplifier providing VA (Voice Alarm) functions • So, it can be set into the Emergency Mode by: • depressing the remote microphones emergency key • external control: • - starting the ALERT function • - starting the EVACUATION function • The Emergency mode can be stopped only by external control ! • To avoid switching off easily
