Success is a journey fueled by aspiration, desperation, perspiration, and inspiration. As a parent, I realized that to encourage my daughters to aim high, I must embody that ambition myself. Through personal struggles and sacrifices, I've worked hard to reach my own goals, including graduating with high honors. Desperation is often viewed negatively, but it can drive us to achieve great things. By inspiring others with words of encouragement and support, I also uplift myself. Let’s celebrate our accomplishments and continue striving for more.

“Success is the good fortune that comes from aspiration, desperation, perspiration and inspiration.”
I want my daughters to aspire to great things. A few years ago I realized if I wanted them to be ambitious, then I should too. Since then I have pushed myself to do more and be more. At home, at work and at school.
I believe that desperation has a bad rap. For many desperation means that you are desperate, but why is that not ok? I believe that through desperation great things are accomplished. We just can’t get stuck in desperation mode. Jim Carrey once said “I don't think human beings learn anything without desperation. Desperation is a necessary ingredient to learning anything or creating anything. Period. If you ain't desperate at some point, you ain't interesting.”
School has not been the easiest thing in the world to do. Through personal sacrifice I am nearing my goal of completion and will graduate with high honors. I have taught my daughters that through hard work and personal sacrifice they can achieve their goals.
Everyday I hope that I have inspired someone. I give words of encouragement at work, an uplifting pat on the back, or a congratulatory “ata boy”. Through inspiring others I feel I am inspiring myself.
(insert picture in cap and gown) Mia Hamm once said “I have worked too hard and too long to let anything stand in the way of my goals. I will not let my teammates down and I will not let myself down.” It is important that as we live our own lives we think of all that we have accomplished. Why stop now?
