  2. http://virtualdesktop.uiowa.edu Enter your Hawk ID and password to Log On

  3. If you are visiting https://virtualdesktop.uiowa.edu from your personal computer, you will need to install the Virtual Desktop client software. See: http://helpdesk.its.uiowa.edu/virtualdesktop/instructions For more information Click on Adobe Creative Suite Desktop

  4. Click on Adobe Contribute CS4

  5. The first time you use Contribute, Click Create New Website Connection

  6. Click Next

  7. Enter this web address. Put your login name after the ~.

  8. Select FTP then click next

  9. Enter www.uiowa.edu Enter your username and password.

  10. You need to make a choice. ITS offers a test website and a production website. If you want everything you do to be immediately available, choose Production. If you want a test area, choose Testing Click Choose. . .

  11. Make your choice. For more information on the testing area see: http://www.uiowa.edu/~uiweb/begin.html And scroll down to the section for Testing Directory

  12. Click Next

  13. Enter your name and email address and click Next

  14. Click Dreamweaver-style editing then Yes.

  15. Click New on the toolbar to make your file.

  16. If this is the first file for your site, call it index.html

  17. Edit your web page to make it jus the way you want it to look. When you are done, click the Publish button on the toolbar. Publish the new page

  18. Make the file the same as the page title for now. Click Publish
