Are You Saved? Are You Sure?. Many are not sure they are saved. Many are sure they are saved, but are mistaken. We can know that we have salvation, if we should die today!. We Have Only Two Choices. A city made of precious jewels with a street of gold! Full of light, life, and peace!.

  1. Are You Saved?Are You Sure? • Many are not sure they are saved. • Many are sure they are saved, but are mistaken. • We can know that we have salvation, if we should die today!

  2. We Have Only Two Choices • A city made of precious jewels with a street of gold! • Full of light, life, and peace! Matthew 25:31-34,41,46 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. A lake that burns with fire and brimstone. Full of death, sorrow, crying, and pain.

  3. Unreliable Ways of Assurance • Feelings • Acts 23:1 And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. • Assumption • Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. • Assurance by Men(Elders, Deacons, Evangelist, Preacher, Pastor, Minister, Father, Mother, Priest, Rabbi) • 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. • Following the Crowd • Matthew 7:13-14Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

  4. God’s Way of Assurance • By His inspired writings • 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. • God wants all of us to be saved • 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. • John 12:47for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

  5. His Way or Ours? • King Saul • 1 Samuel 15 • God tells King Saul to slay Amalek and “utterly destroy” everything the Amalekites have. • King Saul spares Agag and the best of the animals to use as sacrifices unto God. • It repents God that he set up Saul to be King! • Uzzah • Exodus 25, Numbers 4, 1 Chronicles 13 • God details how he wants the Ark of the Covenant transported.(i.e. Who is to carry and what they are to use.) • David comes up with a plan to transport the Ark without so much labor. • Uzzah dies!

  6. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried

  7. Romans 6:3-4 that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? glory of the Father; even so we also should walk in newness of life. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:

Gift or Reward? • Not by Works • Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast. • Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. • No Works? • Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
