Georgia DECA Fall Leadership Development Conference • October 19th – 20th, 2017 • Waverly Hotel in Atlanta (room with your friends) • Meet 1500 students from schools across the region • Miss a day of school • Go to the SunTrust Stadium (Braves surprise!) • Chapter Dinner (Maggiano’s) • Leadership Workshops • Sign up by THIS FRIDAY, September 8th on mypaymentsplus.com • No refunds • WE WANT EVERY MEMBER TO ATTEND!!!

  7. GA TESTING ONLY • September 21st, 2017 during your lunch period • Two Workshop Days: September 13th and 19th • Take practice tests with your friends in Advertising Services, Buying & Merchandising, Entrepreneurship, Free Enterprise Economics, Marketing Math, and Selling. • The top 10 scores in each event will earn a slot to our 2018 International Competition (ICDC)! • If you can’t come, we will post the review games on our website (ngdeca.org)

  8. Chapter T-Shirts • Sign up for DECA by September 15th to secure your Chapter Tee! • We will send a remind to let you know when to come by Room 400 to pick up your shirts!

  9. Honor Cords • Need a total of 30 points for the year • 10 must come from fundraising • 6 must come from DECA Chapter Meetings • 1st year- Honor level • 2nd year- Gold level • 3rd year- Platinum level • 4th year- Diamond level

  10. Cheesecake Fundraiser • When: September 6th • Where: In the multipurpose room during your lunch period • What: Get a little more information about how to sell Cheesecakes to earn points toward your fundraising total! • If you have one of the marketing teachers (Neiman or Kucera), you do not have to come during your lunch period (you will come during class)

  11. Business Fundraiser • Get a business to sponsor NG DECA • $5 is one fundraising point! • Sponsorship forms will be uploaded on our website soon • Keep an eye out for announcements on remind

  12. Competition Report/Manuals • DECA MEMBERS! This year we will be starting manuals September 1st • Make sure to go online to deca.org to select the category that you want to compete in (you can work in groups with your friends • Keep track of time, manuals are due November 1st!! • If you have ANY questions please come by to Room 400 to ask Dr. Huffman or a DECA Officer • Sign up on the link: www.tinyurl.com/decareport

  13. F.U.N. RUN • When: The morning of October 21st • Where: Suwanee Town Center • What: Volunteer at North Gwinnett DECA’s booth to hand out registration numbers to the competitors! Ask an advisor to sign off for volunteer hours!
