December Catalog Formats • INFOhio wants updates done by Jan. 4 • NEOMIN completed updates on Dec. 22 • Updates included updates affecting the leader and 008 tag. Specifically, codes were added to support Offprints, Calendars and Comics/Graphic Novels. In addition, some obsolete codes were also removed.

Cat 2.0 Patch Release • Mid-year release of CAT 2.0 still planned for early January • INFOhio is testing – especially Firefox users
Cat 2.0 Mid-year Release Enhancements • Change Keep/Kept button • Navigation buttons added visibility • Next/previous buttons duplicated • Call number more prominent (Big red font) • Material type graphic of first item displays • More clearly indicate that the title is hyperlinked to the full record (hand icon) • Display title for “Unavailable for display” items
More information on…“Unavailable for Display Items” • Missing should be shadowed, but philosophy is that it shows the title because other libraries have holdings. • Added - “No copies in THIS Library. Search ALL”
Cat 2.0 Mid-year Release Enhancements • If content enrichment is not turned on or not available, display 520 contents on Brief Description tab • Reading Lists – reordered and reselected titles on lists (help of User Council) • Customizable library lists – “District” and old buildings … INFOhio is writing a script so ITC’s can list only valid libraries in drop-down lists. • Fully customizable item group lists (ITC’s can modify what displays) • Chilifresh Review Engine optionally available – 3rd party vendor

ChiliFresh • $120.00 per year for each Search Profile in an OPAC • A Search Profile is usually associated with a library or building. However, there can be, and usually are, search profiles that allow a student to do a collective search for an item district wide. The search profiles of any OPAC are usually listed in a drop-down list on the search page of the online catalog. • No up-front set-up fees. Pricing info in INFOhio Price List!

Cat Jr. 2.0 • INFOhio’s target date to have design/theme set by end-of-year has been pushed to end of January.
Digital Video Collection - DVC • Six new Ohio Farm Bureau titles being loaded in January. (Episodes 416 – 426) • Ohio Farm Bureau titles entitled “Episode ###”, being re-titled to better describe video. • Additional videos to come…
Symphony Summer Upgrade Must update in Fall 2010!!! Ex. When you search on last name “Smith”, you will NOT see first names if you do not upgrade. • Currently all INFOhio is on Symphony 3.2.1 PC4 • INFOhio plans to upgrade to Symphony 3.3.1 in summer 2010 • Feb/March timeframe will work with Doc Team to identify, test and document new 3.3.1 features • Remind your Mac Users of revised hardware specs!3.3.1 breaks patron name into separate fields for first, middle and last. Confirmed old 3.2.1 client will not be compatible with 3.3.1!
Symphony Summer Upgrade • Due to INFOhio’s now highly customized CAT 2.0 (and new CAT Jr) interfaces new OPAC features in e-Library 3.3.1 will need to be reviewed for inclusion and retro-fitted to INFOhio CAT and CAT Jr. • Web2 End-of-Life – targeted July 1, 2010 • Patron updating and vendor loads – re-written and MultiLIS/VMS dependencies removed – targeted completion August 1, 2010
