  3. Theme The Theme of the story, Dog Heaven, is the good memories always pushes the bad memories out. Also another one is you always have a best friend till death and after.

  4. Conflict Human vs. Human: Sparky getting made fun of on the bus by the football players. Human Vs. Nature: Sparky drowning in a river 2 miles down from Niagara Falls. Human Vs, Society: Them moving all the time and having to make new friends. Human vs. Society: The guy throwing poisoned hamburgers in the people’s lawn and killing the dogs. Human Vs. Self: He has Epilepsy. So he has to fight that all the time.

  5. More Facts Sparky, their best friend, died from drowning. Dog named Duke. Died by eating poisoned hamburgers. Their teacher’s name was Ms. Bintz. They are moving again to Oklahoma. They lived in Fort Niagara, but they moved all the time making them leave Duke behind for awhile. Sparky was president and MacArthur’s brother was vice President. Charlie Battery babysat Duke for a week when they left.
