Risk Management • Hazing is illegal - all MIT sororities have policies prohibiting hazing in any form • Alcohol is not allowed in any of the four chapter houses • The illegal use and abuse of alcohol and controlled substances is not tolerated by MIT’s sororities
Finances • Dues vary from chapter to chapter • First semester average dues for Fall 2009: $551.31 • Second semester average dues for Spring 2010: $345.33 • These are averages of new member dues • Include one-time expenses • Scholarships and payment plans available
How can my daughter get involved? • Formal Recruitment • Four day process between orientation and start of classes • Potential New Members visit all sororities and find best fit • Registration available mid-summer at panhel.mit.edu
