  2. Crushed Gravel Cost • $11,994.50 for 1043 cubic yards of crushed ¾ inch gravel; = $11.50/yd

  3. Dura Patcher • Patching material comes in a 250 gallon tote. • Each tote weighs 2000 LBS. • Each tote can use 12 to 14 yards of chips • Use one tote every 2 days on average • 3/8 inch clean chip is the best • Gravity feed is the best method of loading machine

  4. Dura Patcher • Use a Bobcat loader and a hose to fill the the 12 inch fill cap. • When the tote is empty dump one gallon of diesel fuel in. Totes are exchanged.

  5. Dura Patcher • Dura Patcher was demonstrated to Maintenance Crew for 4 hours. • How to run the machine • How to clean the machine • How to shut down the machine at the end of day

  6. Dura Patcher • Fort Peck has 169.5 miles of paved streets and roads • Fort Peck Maintenance has patched for 51 days FY 2008 • 36 miles are paved streets • 7 communities with from 1 to 16 miles of streets

  7. Dura Patcher • Used 10 totes of Emusion Oil = 2500 gallons • Each tote costs $600; 10 X $600 = $6000 • Freight for 10 totes = $500 • Total; $6000 + $500 =$6500

Dura Patcher and End Dump Truck • 1 DAY OF TRAINING FOR 4 PEOPLE • 4 man crew • $22.38 x 8 hrs =$179.04 per man • $179.04 x 4 MEN = $716.16 • Emulsion oil 104 x $2.40/gal = $300 • Chips 4 yd/day x $7.00/yd =$28.00 • Fuel for Truck 10 gal/day x $2.30=$23.00 • Fuel for Dura Patcher 5 gal x $2.30 = $11.50 • Crew Pick-up $40 per day • TOTAL FOR 1 DAY OF TRAINING = $1118.66

  10. Old method using Patchman • 94 ton of asphalt cold mix at $50/ton=$4700 • 96 gal of tac oil at $3.00/gal = $288 • Total cost =$4700+$288=$4988

Old method using Patchman • Patchman & Crew Cab Truck • 4 man crew = $805.68 • Asphalt mix 3.5 ton/day x $50/ton =$175 • Fuel for Patchman 4 gal/day x $2.30=$9.20 • LPG for Patchman 12.5 gal x $1.50 =$18.75 • Gas for tamper 1 gal x $3.00/gal =$3.00 • Fuel for crew cab truck 10 gal x $2.30=$23.00 • Total cost per day =$1034.63
