  2. Wireless DNC • Wireless communication between a PC & CNC is preferred by one & all • The prime reason is safety of RS-232 port of CNC. • Other reason is low cost. • With only one pair of wireless device, many CNCs can get the PC connectivity, one at a time.

  3. Wireless DNC Functions : a) Data transfer : PC to CNC & CNC to PC by RS-232 b) PLC data transfer from PC to CNC by RS-232 c) NC data transfer : PC to CNC & CNC to PC d) CNC to CNC data transfer, NO PC in between

  4. Wireless DNC • There are many reasons to go for wireless communication. Next few slides will describe some of the features & the advantage of them.
