  2. Fujitsu Fi6670Basics • Can be turned off when not in use • Can be covered when not in use • PC connection required • USB connection – 1 PC only • Windows XP and 1 gig RAM recommended • 200 page capacity • No ink – rollers must be replaced every 250,000 sheets OR every year

  3. Fujitsu Fi6670Cleaning • Clean the ADF every 10,000 sheets • Use a non alcohol based cleaner

Fujitsu Fi6670PC Connection • PC must be logged on to scan • Admin level account needed • PC can be locked during scan • Only current admin accounts will have ability to scan – new admin accounts must be registered with Helpdesk • Scan program is loaded at startup • Scan program works in background

  5. Fujitsu Fi6670 • During Scan - program window will open minimized in top right corner of screen • No visible activity during the scan • Following a successful scan, a black Command Prompt window will open and quickly close

Fujitsu Fi6670 • Documents are loaded face up and barcode first • Paper guides lock in place when set • Control Panel located on both sides of machine • Scan button and Send To button will initiate scan • Function button is not important – for now • In event of a scanner jam, the entire job must be restarted

Fujitsu Fi6670Scanning • Place 200 sheets max face up with barcode first • 24 lb. paper should be used for SPAT • Adjust locking paper guides • Make sure PC is logged on with admin account • Press Scan button. • Scanner will process jobs – 90 pages per minute • In large jobs – confirmation can take up to 10 minutes to print

Fujitsu Fi6670Confirmation and Errors • Confirmation page (same as MFP) will print on the DEFAULT ATS printer • This can be re-routed to another printer by helpdesk • Barcode errors will also print to default ATS printer • ATS jobs sent by Central must be printed on PDF capable printer • Confirmation sheets and Error sheets can be printed on any ATS printer

  10. Fujitsu Fi6670Confirmation and Errors • Confirmation sheets MUST be kept with the jobs. Helpdesk needs job ID from confirmation sheet to troubleshoot • Barcode and Bubble errors need to be rescanned – not entire job • RNOC and SPAT Confirmation MUST still be run • When scanning in documents, PC should be monitored for black Command Prompt window which follows successful scan

  11. Fujitsu Fi6670Notes • Currently Scanner is set for letter size documents only. Likely to change due to MSPA documents • TWAIN Driver error – replace documents in scanner and press Scan button • To turn scanner off – Press power button for 5 seconds

  12. Random Notes • Schools can add fax to the MFP printer by connecting phone line. The DOE will not support this feature • Email will be available in near future • Do NOT use old blue/pink sheets for attendance or report cards. • Blue/pink sheets can be used for other ATS reports
