  1. Tourism Lesson 2: Nile Cruises Activity 3 : A song ( Come to Egypt) Time: 55 minutes Presented by:Abir Mohamed

Learning Objectives English • Students will revise and extend discussing three major attractions of cities located on the banks of the river • Students will write three lines to complete the song about their favorite place with not less than 3 accented words in each line Computer Students research Wikipedia, use PowerPoint for their writing and a digital camera Social Studies Students use the features of Egyptian governorates to attract tourists

  3. Materials • Internet access • Powerpoint application • A digital camera

  4. Activity Procedures 1.The teacher revises the favorite local places on Upper Egypt that mentioned on youtube previously (5 min.) 2. In groups, Students use Wikipedia to search for three attractions about their chosen city ( 10 min.)

  5. 3. In groups, Students discuss and present an answer to “Why do they prefer this city?” to complete the song with through their spokesman ( 5 min.) 4. Using power point application, Students write three lines (not less than three accented words in each line) to complete a song about their favorite city using present tense or imperative (10 min.)

  6. Come to Egypt ! We welcome youSee the Nile River! Lots to do !------------------------------------------- 5.In groups, Students create their own rhythm and presentation of their song (10 min.) 6.A cameraman from each group records his group song with a digital camera and upload it to tourism group on Wikispace ( 5 min.) 7. Students watch and listen to each group’s song counting the number of places and accented words in each line .
