  2. Cluster management: how can it works? For Cluster Management activities (Enterprise business promotion, support to project application, information and training and other) Envipark co-finance with own funds activities costs. That’s possible because of the original Park and Cluster business model

  3. The Science and technology park Environment park was founded on 1996, by an initiative of Piedmont Region, Province of Torino and City of Torino, and it‘s built on a former industrial area. Envipark is a privatefor profitstock company with public shareholders Park statutory mission, assigned by public shareholders, is to provide SMEs support to develop innovative solutions in the fields of environmental and energy technologies

Real Estate management • Total investment: 45 M Euros • About 30,000 m2 available • 90% of the surface rented - service contracts with variable duration • About 70 firms/organizations settled in the Park (tenants) • About 500 people working in the Park (80% graduated) • 20 new business started in the Park (no incubation activity) • Services provided to tenants : • Power, heating & cooling • ICT services • Cleaning and surveillance • Maintenance • Restaurant - Cafeteria • Meeting and conference rooms • Turn-key design solutions for settlements

Tech transfer domains • Presently four main technology areas, each one splitted into several technology “platforms” • Technology platforms are structured with pilot plants, test facilities, technology projects • Operational model: collaborative research with enterprises and Research bodies (main focus on SMEs) • Internal personnel plus cooperation with academies

Mission and Model The Company operates along two main activity areas: real estate management of Environment Park site Incomes form energy production (hydropower plant) Technology transfer to enterprises in environmental and energy fields (R&D contract and EU/national/regional funded projects) Activities are developed in an integrated way, where Real estate and Technology transfer actions mutually support each other in the achievement of statutory and economical targets. Vision and figures • Annual Park’s average turnover is around 7 M Euros • Of which: • 3,5 M€ from Real Estate • 0,5 M€ from Power • 3,0 M€ from tech transfer • Investing RE profits on TT allow the park to deploy and implement regional, national and EU programmes and policies. • At the same time it’s a way to attract new tenants in the park and the city, contributing to increase regional industrial capacities and employment .
