HISTORY HISTORY OF THE ALBANIAN WORK On February 20, 1967, Enver Hoxha officially proclaimed Albania an atheistic country, outlawing religion, closing churches and mosques, banning all religious observances, and confiscating property.
HISTORY HISTORY OF THE ALBANIAN WORK On February 20, 1992, exactly 25 years to the day after Hoxha declared war on God, Hoxha’s statue was pulled down from its pedestal, and his fingers and toes were scattered all over the streets of Tirana. Hoxha challenged God, and God won the contest.
HISTORY HISTORY OF THE ALBANIAN WORK In July 1992, soon after the fall of communism, God opened the door to Albania, and a group of twenty-six teachers, led by Bill McDonough, Ben Jones, and Dick Ady moved in. During the month of August, 42 people were baptized INTO CHRIST. And God has been working in Albania ever since.
