  2. What is Rosary Prayer? Rosary prayer is a devotion that Roman Catholics do about the commemoration of Jesus Christ and events of his life.

  3. Background of Rosary Prayer Many people believe that Mother Mary appeared in front of Saint Dominic in the year 1214 inside the church Prouille. So, Saint Dominic began to spread the prayer. Around the 14th – 15th century, a German monk added 50 Hail Mary prayers. In the 16th to 20th century, the structure totally changed and there were 3 mysteries. In 2002, John Paul 2 added another mystery, the Luminous Mystery.

  4. Purpose of Rosary Prayer The rosary prayer is the best way to honor Mother Mary. It also brings us closer to Jesus. Mother Mary wanted us to meditate on the life of Jesus when we pray.

How to do Rosary Prayer? • Make the Sign of the Cross and pray the Apostles’ Creed. • Pray an Our Father. • Pray three Hail Mary and one Glory to the Father. • Announce the Mystery (according to what day it is) and pray the Our Father. • Pray ten Hail Mary and one Glory to the Father. • Pray the Hail, Holy Queen.

  7. Conclusion So, the rosary prayer is a very important prayer that we should know because it is from Mother Mary herself. Throughout time, many changes are made on the Rosary Prayer. I think it is a very interesting prayer.
