Dot projector creates 30,000 reference points on the user's face in order to beat simple photographs. Apple is also working harder for creating more advanced techniques like lifelike masks. Artificial Intelligence startup, Kneron launched, Kneron NPU IP Series in March 2018, for on-device facial and gesture recognition. It comes with 3 neural processing units (NPUs) for smartphones, drones and IoT devices. The KDP 300 is built as an ultra-low power processor used for facial recognition in smartphones. The company’s KDP 500 comes with real time recognition for multiple faces, hands and body gestures. According to the company announcement, KDP 700 is in development that will offer advanced artificial intelligence applications for robots, smartphones and smart surveillance devices.
