  3. It’s bath time! Baths are given to keep the baby clean and from developing any infections Sponge bath • Given if the umbilical cord is still attached to the baby Regular bath

  4. Time to eat Formula (milk or soy) • Ready to feed • Concentrate • powder Breast milk • Has the right amount of lactose, water, fatty acids, and amino acids for human digestion, brain development, and growth.

  5. Safety First Ways to keep your baby safe • Car Seat • It’s the law! • Vaccines • Prevent infections, viruses, and diseases • Put cleaners, medication, plants, and small toys out of reach • Prevent poisoning and choking hazards

  6. When to call the doctor • Not eating well • Eats less than 6-8 times a day • Elevated or subnormal temperature • Baby could have or start developing an infection • Excessive yellow cast to the skin • May make your baby really sleepy, lose his or her appetite, or have jaundice
