What are the Green Fleet Awards? • You, and fleets like yours across California, are making huge investments to improve the environment. • The California Trucking Association (CTA) wants to recognize our industry’s contributions to building a sustainable goods movement system through the inaugural CTA Green Fleet Awards. • A panel of judges will select three award winning fleets, each who demonstrate a commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

  4. What are the Environmental Pioneer Awards? • Part of the Green Fleet Awards Program • CTA will recognize outstanding individual projects or partnerships related to the transportation and logistics industry. (i.e. warehouse efficiency projects, renewable energy installation, pilot technology demonstrations, etc.) • This award will recognize innovative approaches to greening the supply chain.

  5. Judging Process • An independent panel of judges will be convened. • Judges will review the self audit results that are provided by participating companies. • The Panel will look at: • Sustainability plans • Staff and driver training/awards programs • Alt fuel and fuel conservation programs • Energy efficiency • And the overall record of environmental achievement

  6. Awards • Green Fleet Awards • There will be a single winner per category. • Environmental Pioneer Awards • There will be no more than three award winning projects/partnerships • Winners will be recognized at a luncheon ceremony on June 26, 2014 in San Diego, CA.

  7. Getting Started • Review the application packet for more information/details. • Complete and return the application packet to CTA staff no later than May 2nd, 2014. • Submit your entry fee ($40.00 per applicant) • All participants must be CTA members in good standing.
