  2. Climate and Location and Where Climate People Live India- Most people live along the fertile river valleys and the great rivers. The climate of India is affected by seasonal winds called monsoons. China- Most of China’s one billion people live in the mild and temperate climate of China. This is where you find the great river valleys and most fertile farmland.

The warmer parts of the country are able to have longer growing seasons for farmers. Japan experiences typhoons. North Korea has short summers and long winters. The land is mountainous and not as heavily populated as South Korea

Farming is more widely practiced here than in the mountainous north. Vietnam- has a warm and tropical climate that is conducive to rice crops. 90% of the worlds rice is grown in Vietnam.
