Enhancing STEM Opportunities for KCC Students through Targeted Strategies

The KCC TCUP initiative aims to adequately prepare students for STEM majors by focusing on three key objectives: 1) Preparing KCC students for successful transition into STEM fields, 2) Increasing the number of Native Hawaiian students who transfer as STEM majors, and 3) Facilitating a higher transfer rate of KCC STEM majors to baccalaureate degree programs in the next five years. The program targets high school and community college students, returning adults, and foreign students while outlining a budget for critical resources to achieve these goals.
