  1. Diamond Jubilee Tea-Party On Friday 1 June 2012, Saint Anne’s celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by hosting a tea-party at the Lower-site in Enfield. The tea-party was put on for approximately 600 students and staff. As you will see in the following slide show, a wonderful time was had by all. In advance of the day, we were all very worried that the weather would hold and thankfully it did. As part of the day and the event organised, students were allowed a non-uniform day but the theme of this day was red, white and blue. It was wonderful to see so many students enter into the spirit of the day and show great creativity and initiative in what they wore based on the theme set. All students attended a special assembly where they were shown a presentation given by Miss Vevers from the History department, which informed the students about the significance of the Diamond Jubilee. For the tea-party itself, the students were treated to a range of foods provided by our catering provider, Pabullum. A special thank you goes to Mrs Brooks and her catering staff who put on a wonderful spread of food. A special thank you must also go to our sixth form students who helped on the day by ensuring that all students and staff were served in terms of food and refreshments. To mark this momentous occasion, each student and member of staff were given a commemorative Diamond Jubilee mug as a special gift from Mrs Gilling (Headteacher). Something, we hope, will be treasured for many years to come. Finally, I would like to thank Mrs Cheeseman, Mrs Chin, Ms Lawrence and Mrs Leadbitter for all their hard work in preparing for and helping in making this event a great success. Mr Maguire(Key Stage 3 Director)
