  5. While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. Matthew 22:41, 42

Genesis 12:1-3

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13, 14

  35. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Galatians 3:16

  36. JESUS- Son of Adam

  37. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Luke 3:23, 38

  38. Through His mother Mary, Jesus was connected with all humanity as He was “made of a woman”

  39. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Galatians 4:4

  40. Through His mother Mary, Jesus was connected with all humanity as He was “made of a woman” As a descendant of man He was susceptible to the temptations of humanity

  41. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:15

  43. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. I Corinthians 15:22 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. I Corinthians 15:45

  44. JESUS- Son of Joseph

  45. Naturally, all assumed Him to be the natural child of Joseph

  46. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, Luke 3:23

  47. Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? Matthew 13:55

  48. And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son? Luke 4:22

  49. Naturally, all assumed Him to be the natural child of Joseph He was the adopted (legal) son of Joseph, as we are to God

  50. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:14, 15
