  2. “Feedback is information about the gap between the actual level and the reference level of a system parameter which is used to alter the gap in some way” • (Ramaprasad, 1983) • For an assessment to be formative, it requires feedback which • Indicates the existence of a ‘gap’ between the actual level of the work being assessed and the required standard. • Requires an indication of how the work can be improved to reach the required standard

  3. Why Feedback alone is not enough ? Gave up altogether? Frustrated? Confused?

  4. Feed – up ensures that students understand the purpose of the assignment, task or lesson, including how they will be assessed. Feedback provides students with information about their successes and needs. Feed – forward guides student learning based on performance data.

Students’ AcademicTracker(SAT) • The Student’s Academic Tracker (SAT) is designed to be compliant with: • The CCE scheme of the CBSE • The academic/behavioral dimensions of the DSIB Quality Indicators • International age related expectations(on the lines of TIMSS, IBT(ACER)) STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC TRACKER

Contents: • SAT • 1.1 Students Academic Year Mark List - Attainment in the last 5 years, in all subjects • 1.2 Performance Chart - subject wise bar graphs for the last 5 years, all exams • 1.3 Progress over time– in terms of yearly performance • 1.4 Performance within the Class - performance of the student in the division to which he/she belongs 9 STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC TRACKER
