  1. Regional Supplement • New or expanded local climate products • Many WFOs doing CLIs for non-LCD sites • In ER, issue the entire suit: F-6, CLI, CLM • Maybe request that site be added to LCD list? • All requests for new or expanded reports (CLI) will be approved in writing by ERH prior to the commitment of any NWS resources

  2. Procedures: • Request in writing to ERH. Specific about the site and reason. Make sure it has been coordinated through MIC/HIC. • Climate & MSD will coordinate an evaluation with local WFO. • ERH will issue a letter of authorization to the WFO/RFC listing the approved climate products • For new climate products approved by ERH, we will coordinate the issuance of new PILs for the local products. • Eventually, we want to coordinate with NCDC that the location of the new climatological products be added to the LCD list.
