  2. As freshman at the high school you will be placed into a mathematics class according to the following criteria: • Past academic record in math classes • Current mathematics teacher recommendation • Parent/student input

  3. Expectations for all of the mathematics classes include: • Everyday there will be assignments that will be graded and collected by the teacher. Bringing materials every day. (Book, paper, pencil) • Tests will also be used to determine mastery of material. • If students miss class or have difficulty with the material they will be expected to “come-in” before or after school for help.

  4. There are more math class options for this year’s incoming freshman. The mathematics series places an emphasis on reading and problem solving. To be successful in mathematics will require a combination of focused attention and hard work.
