  2. NPDGamma Experiment Approved March 14, 2012 Approved for Operation with Liquid Hydrogen Target in Final Configuration 2nd Lead Wall Spin Flipper H2 Fill & Vent Line Detector Assembly Target Cryostat These Major Components will need to be removed

  3. NPDG to n3He Sequences andMajor Support Requirements Start Summer Outage Detailed schedule discussed in Seppo’s presentation

  4. NPDG Outside View 1st step is to remove roof plates and panels

  5. NPDG with Plates & Roof Panels Removed

  6. NPDG Interior Components 2nd Lead Wall Spin Flipper Detector Assembly Target Cryostat H2 Fill & Vent Line H2 Fill & Vent Line Next step is to remove H2 Fill & Vent Line

  7. Install H2 Fill/Vent Line – July 2011 Photos from NPDG Installation. Removal will be similar, but in reverse order.

  8. NPDG with Fill/Vent Line Removed Spin Flipper 2nd Lead Wall Detector Assembly Target Cryostat Target Cryostat Next step is to remove Target Cryostat

  9. Install Target Vessel & Stand - July 2011 Photos from NPDG Installation. Removal will be similar, but in reverse order.

  10. NPDG with Target Cryostat Removed Spin Flipper Spin Flipper 2nd Lead Wall Detector Assembly Detector Assembly Next step is to remove the Spin Flipper and then the Detector Assembly

  11. Install Spin Flipper – Nov 2010 Photos from NPDG Installation. Removal will be similar, but in reverse order.

  12. Install Detector Array on Stand – Nov 2010 Photos from NPDG Installation. Removal will be similar, but in reverse order.

  13. NPDG, Detector & Spin Flipper Removed 2nd Lead Wall 2nd Lead Wall Next step is to remove the 2nd Lead Wall

  14. Install 2nd Lead Collimator Wall – October 2010 Photos from NPDG Installation. Removal will be similar, but in reverse order.

  15. All NPDG Components Removed NPDG Coils and Stands will be retained and used for n3He

  16. n3He Experiment Preliminary model in the SNS Pro/E 3-D Model

  17. Main components in n-3He experiment 3He target/ detector RF Spin Rotator Lead gamma shielding 4 x preamp enclosures Supermirror polarizer Solenoid Detailed Design 3-D Model by the Collaboration and will be incorporated into the final SNS Pro/E Model
