  1. Earth-Wind-Fire-Water You are about to see ........................ • The Wingsuit-Wind F/C b Crazy or what??

  2. Wingsuit flying is the sport of flying the human body through the air using a special jumpsuit, called a wingsuit, which adds surface area to the human body to enable a significant increase in lift. Modern wingsuit designs create the surface area with fabric between the legs and under the arms. A wingsuit may be referred to as a birdman suit or squirrel suit. Wingsuit

  3. History • In early 1998, Tom Begic, a BASE jumper from Australia, built and flew his own wing-suit based on a photograph of Patrick de Gayardon and his ideas. The suit was developed to assist Begic in capturing freefall footage of BASE jumpers while jumping the high cliffs of Europe. The benefits of the suit included reduced freefall descent rates, increased freefall times, greater maneuverability around other jumpers and objects whilst in freefall, the potential to jump off sites around the world that were not possible without wingsuits, and the ability to accelerate away from underhung walls much more quickly. In early 1999, Begic stopped development of his suit when he met Robert Pečnik and learned of plans for the creation of a wingsuit manufacturing company. Phoenix Fly was started in the mid 2000s

  4. Information • Wingsuit is not a very popular sport mainly because it is a bit too extreme!!!An ideal place to attempt wingsuit would be on the top of a high mountain. The people that do wingsuit are trained if you are a beginner you have to train for several years and lessons start at a price of 100 $ .

  5. About competitions • GPS technology has become prevalent, and through it, experts can accurately map many parameters of a wingsuit flight. This now allows you to compare your performance with other wingsuiters. Your final score is a combination of : time (the longest free-fall ) , distance (the greatest distance) and speed (the greatest forward speed).

  6. One of the biggest wingsuit dangers is a pocket of dead air when I flier hits dead air he loses his way and drags down anyone in his path!!!An other danger is if the parachute refuses to open thank God you have two if that one doesn't open you are in big trouble!!!That's why you have to have certain experience!!!!!!! Dangers

  7. Equipment The following equipment is needed: • The wingsuit suit(obviously) • Special soes that are aero dynamic and fit!! • 2 parachutes!
